These characters were designed to explore typical fantasy setting archetypes coupled with non-binary/androgynous attitudes and design. Each character has a mix of masc and femme elements fitting each fantasy archetype.

After several rounds of design options as a final step to choosing their designs, I started sketching them with various expressions and poses to see how natural the designs would feel to each character.
